Taking the top down/doors off for the first time in the new JK 4-door

Tomorrow is only going to be around 90-95 degrees as opposed to the usual 105 it has been lately, figured I'd go topless/doorless.

Any tips or gotchas I should be aware of with the new soft top/full doors? I've looked through the manual and read a few things on here, sounds easy enough. What about after the top is down/doors off -- I've heard the rear floor mats can blow around? Anything else?

I just don't want to scratch anything up (like the doors while removing bolts or the door itself) or windows (going to roll those in fleece blankets for now).

I have a soft top on my TJ and full doors and while the doors are heavy there are no problems and the soft top is very easy to deal with. But with 4-doors, there is a lot more material and connections to get used to I guess.

Thanks in advance!

this is the best writeup to date on the soft top...

on the doors, make sure you slide the red tab before trying to unhook them. the tab slides to the side that the little lip is on. after that you have to press in the center of the black part to unhook it.

Perfect! Thanks for the tip as well!
