Take your muffler off!

Seriously, go under the back of the car and take off the muffler. On my 4 door 2010 jk, it sounds great!
Seems to me like it gives it more power too. I don't know if it does for real or if it is placebo effect. But honestly, do it!

Sounds pretty good to me. Having never heard a 'real' exhaust in person, and the only comparison being stock: I like it

What is the difference in sound between no muffler and after-market? They both make it sound louder, do they not? Or is there something else?

The OP.

The obvious point, which apparently some missed, was that he took his muffler off. Now his Jeep is loud.

My experience has been that many of the people that complain about loud motorcycles, particularly Harleys, have loud vehicles themselves, mostly stupid trucks with glass packs or straight through exhausts, no muffler, etc. Either that or they are ricers with fart can mufflers.
