So I was really wanting to rid my synthetic winch line of the sling hook, and I didn't want to spend $100 on a thimble...I ended up picking up a couple synthetic D-rings from Dragline OffRoad...

Breaking strength tested conservatively at 16,000lbf, but theyre rated to match their corresponding winch line (im guessing this covers the company's butt). Theres several different sizes with varying minimum breaking strength ratings, depending upon size and diameter.

They're WAY easier to use than your traditional 3/4" steel d ring...easy and quick to switch from point to point. I'm super pleased with this cool product. Thought it was worth giving some of y'all a heads up.

That a website isn't fully operational...they have a second site that's close to going up that will replace the one you see now. I think he may have a few different offerings than is currently listed. I contacted him direct for a solution

Thats very neat, convenient, but it's notta D-Ring-

It's a tether and could be made outta yellow ski rope-

Should never be used as a D-ring either--it'll fray/tear/rip--too dangerous-

It's neat for a quiet winch cable TETHER-

I'm using in place of where I would use a d ring, therefore, to me, its a synthetic d ring.

I just don't like the term-D-RING to be mis-construed by newbys and that is done quite often-

I don't even use any of my D-RINGS (6) on the bumpers--thay are subject to theft and make noise all the time-

I'm notta bad guy, just hard to get along with !

Good day

at least you have a sense of humor

16,000 lbf breaking strength on static pull tests. Dragline spent a gob of money and time rating these, as I understand.

I'm going to put them to the real world test and report back.
