Success! To a degree anyway....I still have a few more kinks to work out but it's doing a great job and MUCH more controllable than the torch method (not as cool though.) I should have this thing whipped in another hour or two, then it's back to paint and bed liner.

Had to pause for a bit to go get a hair cut, but I'm pretty much where I need to be now. Slight gap towards the back but it'll be fine when I get silicon over the seam. Not bad, eh?

Looks good man!

I start my metals degree this fall and will be taking welding classes at the same time. Once I pick up a welder I'm going to try my hand at making my own tube fenders. I love the look!

Thanks dude, these things are sturdy as hell tied into the subframe, I climbed up there with all 230 pounds of myself and jumped up and down on them.

Wow! It's looking really good! I'm digging the round tail lights, keep up the good work.

^^ thanks bud!

No progress yesterday, went up to Maine to open the lake house for the season...stopped at Cabella's on the way back: a cookie for whoever can guess why I would want a 2,000 pound winch for a 5,000 pound vehicle

Hard top hoist? That would be overkill to an extreme. Maybe to winch an ATV somewhere?

Nope, not for the hard top or an atv. It will be mounted to the jeep, for the jeep specifically

Fenders look killer, btw. You're going to love the confidence they instill in tight quarters
