Stock 3:73 D30/D44 Value

I replaced my stock setup with 4:88 Rockjock 60s and want to get rid of the stock axels. Any idea on what they're worth?

Being 3.73 you might be able to get about $1000 out of the pair, maybe $1500.

You might have an easier time selling them as scrap iron.

I never thought of scrap. What a shame since they only have about 2200 miles on them. Heck the tags aren't even dirty on them.

Most would keep them for spare parts I imagine. If you had the front 44 you could prolly get some better cash

Unfortunately there's not much of a market for D30 take off's although the D44 may be easier to move.

Might check your local resources to see if you can piece them out. Might be able to make a little bit more money that way.

If I hadn't gone to the 60s I would keep them; however, now nothing is usable for me.

Taking them in for scrap prices will be a waste and a huge loss over selling them to someone who will use them.

If you sell them you'll probably see in the range of $700 and I would expect $500 to be a quick sell. The right buyer may pay more but finding that buyer may be the problem.

The 3.73's will be appealing to many and better than what many have when compared to3.21's, but most likely won't be the perfect gear ratio. The price of the set will have to be less than a regear will cost to make buying the set worth it for the 3.73 gear ratio.

You could also consider parting them to get a Little bit more out of them.

Sell the bare housings with the 3.73's installed ( I would still expect to see $400 -$500) and then sell the shafts and brakes separately. You'll get more out of everything separately, but you'll also have a lot more time in selling everything.

X2, at $500 for the pair, they would be a cheap upgrade for someone with 3.21 axles.

According to the build sheet it has the "Anti-Spin Differential Rear Axle". Not sure if that's Jeep version of an LSD or not.
