Stock 2015 Wheels & Tires on my 2011 JKU Sahara

Hello everyone...

New to the forums but I have always loved Jeeps, I recently bought my second Wrangler which is a 2011 JKU Sahara. I just bought some wheels and tires locally that came off a 2015 JKU Sahara. I didn't think to ask the guy if they had TPMS, but it wasn't listed (I'll send an email and ask him). Two days after I put the tires on my JKU (didn't drive it over those two days) I get an amber tire light on my dash. I can only assume the tires have the sensors at this point so I have two questions. Thanks everyone in advance and I look forward to learning about and sharing my Wrangler experiences.

1. Will these work with my 2011 JKU?

2. What code(s) do I need to ask the dealer to enable?

Regardless of whether the tires have them or not, they won't work with your 2011. The frequency is different. You'll either need to replace them with 2011 ones or get a programmer and shut the TPMS off completely.
