if the guy cant figure it out then go somewhere else, he has no idea what hes doin. its really easy esp if you already have a factory sub. if you do you can use a line out converter (makes speaker wires into rca's) at the sub or at the factory amp under the steering wheel. use the left cig lighter for switched power and run a wire from the battery, its pretty easy

ok you slightly confused me there...ill go into detail (if it matters) i have two fosgate p3 12's and a profile ap2000 amp 2000watts max and 480x2 rms (at 2 ohms) i bought all of it off of crutchfield, i install everyones subs at my highschool and get paid to do it so i know the basics perfectly but its a month old care and 750$ system so i was gonna get this guy to do it...the amp came with a line out converter but im not quite sure how to use it and you confused me...does the mygig touch screen nav have rca's? if so wouldnt it be extremely easy to bypass the factory amp...if it has rcas i could just go the basic wiring scheme...power inline fuse remote rca's ground and sub wires? i cant understand the way you explained...sorry for the long post

you can hook up the line out coverter to the wires that are at the factory sub (easiest) or at the factory amp (same wires) you will hook up the remote turn on to the power wire on the left(drivers) cig lighter port(its switched with ign/radio and you know where the power /fuse go.
