Soft Top Rear Window

Hello, I know this is probabaly been posted 9 million times on this forum but thanks to our new IT set up we only have 5 min intervals on the internet for non-work site, so I can not search, what a joke.

Any way the question is does any one else have a really bad problem with the rear window and scratches. I have the non-tinted one and every time I take to room down and put the windows in the Jeep soft top window bag and roll them it seems I get some more scratches. I have a nice some what deep one right behind the rear tail light.

I just wondering what every one does and if you just wind up buying new windows every year.

Thanks

Not every year. Maybe every 5 to 7 years. Or just wait til it cracks, then replace it.

Make sure there isn't any dirt on the window or on the fleece before you store it. Otherwise, you'll just have to get used to the scratches. And it you really want to avoid scratches, don't roll it up and use the elastic straps to attach it to the soft top.

See the only time I roll the windows up is when I put the soft top down all the way. I got that Jeep Window Bag and it seems sturdy but who knows. It stinks but heck I have an excuse to get tinted ones next year.

Also has anyone tried that Novus Deep scratch remover?

I've got many on mine, but I gave up on caring... figured it was part of owning a jeep.

Here's a trick for rolling up the rear window:* When you do it, roll a soft fleece towel (clean of course) up with the window. I will stop the plastic from rubbing while rolled up.* The rubbing contributes to the overall fogging of the plastic over a number of years.* Scratches on the other had are part of having plastic windows.
