Soft top help

I have a 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited X 4 door. A buddy of mine gave me a soft top from his 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sahara. I put it on and the side windows dont fit as tightly as I had hoped. If I order the framing for the 2013 Jeep and install into my Jeep, would the windows fit better?

If the top is from a 2013, the door surrounds would also be from a 2013. I don't see how new surrounds would help.

Post a pic of the side windows. Where are they loose?

I also have a 2007 Wrangler 4 door. I'm about to post that I'm looking for hardware for a 2007 soft top. I recently contacted Quadratec about a hardware kit they had online from Bestop, the customer service rep said Jeep changed OEM specs slightly from 2010 - newer from the 2007 - 2009 models. It's entirely possible the 2013 top won't fit exactly right on your 2007. Good luck!

Or did you already have a soft top and just replace the top and retain the original hardware/door surrounds?

The new style top doesn't snap into the door surrounds because of the cable style top. You'll need matching door surrounds for it to correctly seal.
