Soft Top Flapping @ Door Surround

So I finally bought a soft top for my JK (it came with a hard top). So I am having a problem when my doors close. The small corner of the soft top window that comes around to the door surround does not catch "just right" when the door closes and just flaps in the wind while driving. I was going to use some velcro on it.....anyone fix this problem before?

That corner clips into the soft top door frame, it's kind of a L shape, if you will. Unzip the window almost all the way (but not all the way) then push the flapping edge into the door frame, then the bottom of the window into the channel below (just get it started on the bottom), then zip all the way, then finish pushing into the lower channel.

x2. The doors are not supposed to "hold" the top in place. The "channel" needs to be tucked into the frame.

If you are tucking it in to the channel and its just not staying...

I ran in to a similar issue that was my mistake due to mis-storage of them. What you'll need to do is bend the plastic lip that tucks in to the door surround on the window back in to shape with a hair dryer... or on a hot sunny day before you close door make sure the lip is tucked in and the sun with reshape the lip over time.

I had the same problem when I started using my soft top. That "corner" doesn't come around and get secured by the door...it actually needs to be pressed into the groove down the middle of the door pillar.

Awesome!! Now I get it. I did not realize there was a flap that you open inside that piece that goes around the surround. Now I get it. Thank you!

Yeah, she's "nice and tight" when it is done correctly! Especially hesitant to put it on the 'proper' way with a fresh, new soft top that hasn't been on before. I used black paracord to make three-or-four inch loops for the zippers to have more hand-hold while zipping it up initially due to the tightness of the install. She's since stretched into place now.
