So.. Where the heck does it go?
The back window that is, when you put the top down.. I just roll it up and put it on the back floorboard, but if people want to ride with me they have to hold it.. Haha.. Where is it supposed to go?
I found two elastic straps in the glove box with a snap on them, but I still have yet to find the part where they are supposed to snap to on the Jeep..
Sorry for the stupid question, but I just can't figure it out..

The snaps are right above the back window, just unzip the sides of the rear window leave the top attached, then roll it up and sling it in the elastics.

Those snap under the top lip of the rear window frame. The loops wrap around the rolled up window and it hangs up there.
I suppose you could use them to keep it rolled up and your friends can at least hold the rolled up form. I have a 4 dr so I just lay mine in back.

Well you're on the right track. If you unzip the sides of the rear window and leave it zipped horizonally, roll up the window, slide the straps over it and snap it to the interior of the soft top.

Ok, lemme see if I got this right.
I unzip the right and left zipper til I get to the top of the back window, then I pop out the bottom and roll it up and it snaps at the top? Then it just folds down with the rest of the top?
If that's it.. I would have never figured that out.. I read the manual, but it only talked about things the warranty covered and the maintenance (with the spots to put when and what mileage each 'checkup' was done).
I was really expecting to get flammed a lot for this.. But I had to ask, I just can't figure it out.
On a side note.. I LOVE the Jeep. Even with its 15-16mpg.. I friggin LOVE it!

Never thought about rolling up the rear window before putting the top down...
Anyway, as far as putting the top down, here's a video

Everyone remeber this guy when your fighting the zippers and trying to get the top all set back in properly, think of the big grin

They actually showed me how to roll up the back window at the dealership. My problem is that I can't figure out how to completely remove the back window. Is it possible? There are two zippers going two different directions and I can't for the life of me figure out how to completely remove the back window. Maybe I'm just an idiot?

Wow, I was convinced that I was going dual top. Not now. Hardtop for me. I'll put a hoist in the garage, and lift it off. Soft top looks like PIA.

The soft top is very simple...
To get the back window out, unzip all the way around from the right side of the window to the left side.. Once both zippers pulls are as far left as they can go, you can seperate the two halves...
Guys, this isn't rocket science, it's a couple of zippers, some velcro and a couple of latches...

I may be wrong on this but...
I am pretty sure that you cannot put the top down with the rear window rolled up and attached to the top....

Thanks for the help.
It may not be rocket science, but not knowing anyone else with a jeep that could help explain some of these things makes for a pretty good chalenge when you've never had a jeep before. This forum has helped me on several things and I do know how to use the search features. Some things are just hard or impossible to find. I still have many questions but I wait until someone else asks them or my searches find the answer.
It's tough being a noob witout looking like a boob.
I don't regret the soft top one bit. It is actually easy. Not only can I do it with no help, but living in Florida where it rains every afternoon in the summer I don't have to find a bridge until it's done raining. My top is always with me.

My comment was directed more to the guy wanting to put a winch in the garage and hoist off a hardtop when he wants to go topless...
Yes, it IS possible to leave the back window attached and put the top down... I think I completely removed the back window ONCE... the first time I took the top down... I've never removed it since..
Rather than roll it up, I prefer to leave it flat and when I put the top down, it hangs down and lays flat on the floor of the cargo area...
There is a window roll that a lot of people use... I just purchased one this winter and am looking foward to using it.. I'm sure that will be the next big question to come up... "What do I do with my side windows..."
