This is correct, the Jeep ecm has no way to control venting it is accomplished by springs.
It works fine in most situations, but like the Pentstar if you drive it in a specific manner and run certain gas = not so good.
On occasion when I stopped I tried opening the gas cap in hopes that it would equalize the pressure. Not really sure if it makes a difference. I also though of finding a better place to vent it, but not sure where.

Suggest everyone with this condition file a complaint with www.nhtsa.gov. If enough people file a claim they will investigate. You can also ask for an investigation, but they might not do one if there are not enough complaints or it is not safety related.
