It works fine in most situations, but like the Pentstar if you drive it in a specific manner and run certain gas = not so good.
On occasion when I stopped I tried opening the gas cap in hopes that it would equalize the pressure. Not really sure if it makes a difference. I also though of finding a better place to vent it, but not sure where.

So, because I live in Sun City West, AZ and are runs are in Hot temp with high elevation gains. I have to put up with gas vapor leaking out and could cause death.

Reported the problem to ODI Number 10473237, don't think any good will come of it. But Venting is nice. I think someone has to be killed first.

The Jeep fires are supposedly caused by the auto trans spilling its guts on the exhaust manifold which I believe is a total falsehood. No reported fires from the gas smell.

Took to the Dealer and nothing can be done, so have to put up with Gas Fumes so bad you have to park the jeep far away.

Suggest everyone with this condition file a complaint with www.nhtsa.gov. If enough people file a claim they will investigate. You can also ask for an investigation, but they might not do one if there are not enough complaints or it is not safety related.

Previous Jeeps: 84 CJ7 (A True Jeep), 2000 XJ (163,000 Miles/Totaled (Pictures of wrecked Jeep in gallery)), 2004 WJ (parting out die to major electrical issues)

If you don't have time to do it right the first time, how do you have time to do it over.
