I have done quite a few things since i bought the heep in November of 11'".

$26,497 2007 jku sahara with 13k miles. Figured i'd start a build thread as time goes on, so here it is.....
2007 JKU Sahara
The previous owner installed 33"Mickey MTZs with some brand of 17"wheels. a high rock best stop bumper, and if you want to call it 2 inches...which its not....a sky jacker lift. I immediately drove it home with 13k miles and took out the carpets and top off. added some KC lights and got orders to move....

Got stationed in England and shipped it with me.
first on the list...get rid of these pueneey 33"s and throw on some 35"MTRs with 15" MB 72 wheels.

I started a thread whn i got them....pretty much the same pics but if you wanna look at it then here is the link : http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f96/3...nside-1369327/

I used tap on weights in fear that sticky weights would rub on the caliper. now that they are on i'm 90% sure that sticky weights will fit and will switch them out when i have the tires rebalanced at half tread.

took advantage of the new 35"s...they ride alot smoother with all that rubber coming from 17 inch rims. drove to scotland, wales, and around england.
North atlantic ocean on the Isle of Skye in scotland.
Lake Lochness.
Hunstanton Beach on the East coast of England
And a drive way shot

Forgot to add that the jeep did come with dual tops, which is nice. and the dealer ship repainted the hardtop to match, bc the original owner cracked it and they had to repair and repaint it.

Since it is my birthday month i was going to invest in a RK 3.5" suspension kit but i couldnt justify spending 2k for another 1.5" of lift just yet. So i opted for bushwaker flat fenders, procal tuner and a sunperwinch. Everything is in the mail except the winch i bought from a local british 4x4 shop. I was impatient and spent a little more locally but i doubt i could get it shipped usps anyway bc it wieghs 90 plus lbs

9.5 tigershark. only drawback about this series of super winches is taht you are strongly advised against and limited to cables instead of synthetic rope bc of the heat it produces. The shop told me i should be fine with synthetic as long as im not putting a huge load on the winch.??? anyway, ill stick to cable...just for the fact that itll be a rare day i will hafto replace it.

Also in the pic is some daystar hood latches.

How did you find the MTRKs in the snow and ice?

havent really encountered any standing ice on the road, as for snow, i couldnt tell it was there. it was only about 2-5 inches deep tho. with 35 inch tires that isnt much.

Very nice, that 35 looks monstrous next to the 33. I really like the blackout look with the wheel/tire combo. I assume you’re driving on the “wrong” side of the road where you are. I tried to do that in New Zealand and ended up returning the rental; just too weird for me.
:cheers2:

After doing it for a year ....and going on leave to louisiana...it was weird for me to drive on the right side of the road. Only that sucks here is the roads r only like 6 ft wide
