Sleep in a 4-door?

Has anyone taken note of the length of the Unlimited with the seats folded down. Was wondering if it's long enough to sleep in the back?

this is funny, bc i just went on a camping trip with some friends and only had a couple hrs of sleep and didnt feel like setting a tent up, specially my big *** tent, so i slept in the jeep in the passenger seat with it reclined all the way...the the most comfortable, but more so then i woulda guessed..lol

man, that would be sleeping in luxory, I've gone on quite a few rainey camping trips with my TJ and simply slide both front seats forward as far as they go, lay down my matress that I "borrowed" from my parents motor home and sleep with my head by the tailgate and my legs up on the passenger seat. Everyone I go camping with starts off as a non-believer but when I have it set up with my sleeping mattress and sit in there, they're all thinking it looks comfy and can't believe that I made that much room in the back of a TJ. Oh, and it's actualy a pretty comfy sleep, look forward to doing it again, lol, but I'm being serious, it's verry satisfiying in some way, like just one more thing the ol jeep is capable of. Next camping trip in october, I'll definetly take pics, probably just post in the TJ forum though.

But I'd expect a 4 door would be awsome for sleeping in, and I'm not a little guy either by any means, I'm 6'1"

I tried one out for the express purpose of being able to sleep two in the back.
I,m 6'1" and was stretched out fully and had a couple inches to spare.

Thats with the front seats fully forward.

width-wise, Cozy for two that dont mind being close.

That's nice to hear. I love my TJ, but I do like the idea of a nice bigger interior of the new 4 door JK. Sounds great for getting cozy while still comfy with girlfriend/wife camping.

Somewhere around one of the boards someone posted the dimensions, and I think it was 68" or 69" from the back of the upright head rests to the gate.

For comparison. . . It was within a couple inches of being the length of our '05 Grand Cherokee, though quite a bit narrower.

Yup. 68" from the back of the front seats to the tailgate when the front seats are in the normal driving position. When they are all the way forward, there's about 6.5'. It was 65" from the rear headrest back.
