Should I?

I'm thinking of selling the Jeep (or MINI Cooper) and trailer and my head is spinning; not sure if it's really the right way to go ---- but it looks like a great opportunity.

This is what I have now: 2008 2-door Sahara, RR bumpers, XRC8 Comp winch, Unlimited springs with a Teraflex 2.5" spacer lift, ProComp wheels, KM2 33" tires, and a Conqueror Compact trailer.

But, this is what I might be able to get: 2007 Power Wagon loaded to the teeth, custom bumper, stock winch, lockers, swaybar disco, 35" KM2s, Flip-Pac topper, Hemi...

It's almost a Jeep, but not.
But I really like it.

Trade a Jeep for a pickup truck??

Do you live on a farm? Do you do construction? Do you need to tow some big-assed toy? If you answered "no" to these questions, you are clearly insane for considering this (:

It's a NICE-LOOKING pickup truck.......but it's still a pickup truck.

Easier for an arthritic old man to deploy/stow for camping...

In that case, I'd just bite the bullet and get a small RV (:

Gotta say, I'd probably go for the truck. Too bad it's not a diesel. Having sold many Jeeps though let me assure you that you'll miss your JK. But maybe get the truck and an old CJ to kick around??? Tough call either way, good luck!!!!

Keep the trailer and sell the jeep, and mini for a JK Rubicon unlimited. You will love the ride.
Although, My wife kept her Miata and I kept the Dodge 4x4, and we both share our jeep JK unlimited. Looking back I should have bought the Rubicon. Just get a bigger garage for all the toys and have a great time.

Bill, I might be tempted to get the power wagon, honestly. I agree, you will miss the jeep, but that is a sweet truck!

That is a tough choice. I've had both types of setups, and the problem with the truck with the camper on it is, if you want to go explore, you have to pack up camp. I solved that problem by getting a Yamaha Rhino with lockers, and a 5x8 trailer to pull behind the truck. Then a couple of years later another Jeep and a bigger trailer to pull behind the truck.

It never seems to end, we always want more toys.

That being said, how do you get up in the tent area of the PW?

Yo HD, now thats a good choice and it would pull that trailer across country, with ease and comfort

I can't blame you, if comfort and room and travel ease and multiple use and dependability and versatility and--now I forgot what I was gonna say--OH yea, get rid of the MINI !!

Whatever you do, your sharp enough to do it right !!

This seems like an easy decision to me. Sell the trailer & Mini (as fun as they are) and get the PW to tow you're new Sahara trail rig around with.
