Seicane 10.1 inch Android 6.0 head unit in a Jeep Wrangler

So I have used Joying for over a year, you might have seen this thread:

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f96/j...cific-3829473/

but when my last unit died, I decided to pick up a Seicane and see how it compares. I had my eye on this unit for awhile:

I made an unboxing video:

be warned it is pretty shaky, but i think I fixed that issue on the install video (which I will post in a day or so).

pics of the back of the unit:

Images from the unboxing:

Installed:

i have only had it a few days, and mine does not have a MicroSD card slot, but it will treat a USB like a microsd card:

As you can see in this screen shot it appears to have the SD card icon for my Samsung thumb drive. The name is "Samsung USB", but that is just what I named it.

Google Play Music and Google Maps both recognized it as external storage like they would with a MicroSD card

Here is the music player using MP3s on a USB, weird how some and some did not show album art

Here is the video player playing music videos from the same USB

i have a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Freedom Edition that had the base audio system. It was basically plug and play, and yes all the steering wheel controls work.

left rear side buttons:
track forward
mute
track back

right rear side:
volume up
source change
volume down

front buttons:
VR = mute
phone = opens up phone app.

the only issue is you can't change them to anything

Kickass aftermarket setup, but man, that Seicane logo at the bottom is obnoxiously bad. I don't recall seeing that on some of the other review videos on YouTube. Have you confirmed that's Android 6? Still looks like 5.

It does appear to be 6.0 to me

Well the one in the video is the Android 6.0 version, which a few guys got working with a PAC module.

However there is a newer version with Android 7.1, and it has a different wiring harness. It apparently includes a wire that needs go be connected and then the Alpine works
