rough country 3.25 in suspension lift

hello,

I am very seriously considering getting the Rough Country 3.25 inch coil lift for my 2011 jk. Im completely stock now but I wana have the 3.25 with 33in mts on my stock wheels an a little bit of offset. the kit includes 2.5in coil lift with .75 spacers, 2.2 series shocks, track bar bracket, sway bar links and brake line brackets. I think its a pretty good deal at 399 but does anyone have any experience with this kit? Is there a better similarly priced alternative?

Thanks

Extremely Rough on road. Shock leaking a year old and only 2 times easy trails. I will be changing. 2007 unlimited.

Rough Country should list their lift kit prices realistically. It's more like $2,000. $300 now, plus $1,700 to upgrade to Rock Krawler later.

Or just get the Rock Kralwer at the Rough Country discount, which is $399 off!

I reply to a lot of these threads but... I too was looking at Rough Country first... Blinded by the price.

I ended up buying a Teraflex spring/shock kit. Rock Krawler was very very close to being purchased but I was essentially given the TF kit.

You're doing the right thing by posting here. IMO 3.25 would be too much for 33"s. 2.5 you can run 35"s...

Anyway, do some more searches You'll find lift questions starting with Rough Country coming up a lot.

There is a reason they call it 'rough' country. It is known to give a rough ride and the springs are known to sag over time. I would look for a better lift.

I had the rough country for a year.... within 1 month it settled hard towards the drivers side. i lived with it until i could upgrade to rock krawler. when i pulled the springs out and sat them side by side you could notice the settling.

save your money, do it right the first time. buy something other than rough country.

I noticed you have nitto trail grapplers on your sahara wheels which is exactly what I wanted to do, im looking at the LT295/70R18/E 129/126Q but the specified rim width is 8 inches an the sahara wheel is only 7.5 wide, did you run into any of these problems?

No problems. Tire shop wasn't even worried when I asked them this.

We have RC 2.5" coils with BDS shocks and it rides better than stock. Only been on for 10k so no issues yet, who knows what the future holds.
When the wife decides on bumpers and winch, the whole suspension will probably go to heck anyhow, good thing I don't mind fixin' her ride.
