Remove rear headrests of 2014 JK Unlimited Sport

Hi, I've recently bought my first Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport. I need to remove rear headrests to install seat covers and couldn't figure out how. The fronts can be removed easily though. Can someone help?

They may have changedem, but

Removing the rear headrests is quite an adventure--you've gotta remove the stock seat covers and then unbolt the cable mount for the headrests-

I hope they're different in 2014-

Good luck

headrest removal

You can remove the foam headrest part, (at least on an 08) without a big hassle. On one side of the headrest, can't remember which, there is a small spring loaded button that when it is depressed will allow the headrest to be removed. That is all I needed to do to install a set of Trek Armor covers, they will slide over the rods that the headrest is connected to. Hope this helps.
