Real world gas mileage

Now that some people actually own a few JK's I wonder if you can give us a report on the "real world" gas mileage you are getting?

Have about 180 miles on it but so far I'm averaging a nice 19..... I drive 32 miles each way to work, half highway, half town roads. Even sat in a good amount of traffic yesterday afternoon and its still close to 19. Pretty good for a Jeep - hope it keeps up this way!

JK2BJeep3, thanks for the update. Is your JK and automatic or stick? Let hear what others are getting.

Thanks for the info, might be a good move to trade in the CRD if diesel keeps its huge price gap over regular gas

Sahara Auto, 4wd of course. And my sticker said 16/19. Normally I can be kindof a leadfoot but I'm probably being a little easy til it breaks in.

Okay, it's been a week so the JK's should have been driven a bit by now. Please give an update on gas mileage.

I believe the EPA fuel economy measuring methods changed for 2007 to reflect more 'real world' driving. So the the 16/19 listed for the 2007 wrangler is actually higher (aka better fuel economy) than the 16/19 listed for the 2004 wrangler.

i cant wait to see some of these driving around my parts. i wanna see one in a parking lot so i can skim it over a bit. i for one think this is a good direction for jeep, yes the windsheild is roudned but it still folds. and probly dosnt catch as many bugs on the highway as mine does.

Gas mileage updated

Ok well not quite as good now.... after last weekend running around all over town, it dropped from 19 down to 17.8 mpg and that's where i've been hovering since. I'll still take it. Having the larger tank and gas prices coming down, I can't complain.
