rballman JK build - da hoopty

Even though my Jeep is already modified, I decided to make a build thread so I could have something to look back at. ...and future mods!

Bought her Oct 2007:
- basic 2dr X
- D30 / D44 with 3.21 gears

In 2008 I upgraded the tires, added a CB, light covers, and a rear tow hook.

- Rubi 32" BFG Mud KMs
- Factory rear tow hook
- Rugged Ridge Euro rear light guards
- Cobra DX IV Compact CB Radio with 4' Tiger antenna and PA speaker

April 2009, some fellow JK'ers helped install a Teraflex 2.5" BB w/shocks and rubi 4dr springs. I also installed some 1.5" Rough Country wheel spacers. I got about 3" of lift with the setup!

May 2009, scored a hi-lift jack off craigslist for $30. I decided to install this inside the jeep so it is out of the elements. Found a perfect spot behind the back seat. Tapped the roll bar holes and here is how it turned out:

June 2009, a fellow JeepForum member and I ripped off the front plastic bumper and cut the crush cans off. What a difference it made:

Nicely built JK, but you desperately need gears.
