Radio Removal

Any have pics or anything on removing the radio? I could fight the dash to figure it out. But if someone has already done, that would be even better. I tried searching and did not find anything.

So, if you know of a thread with that info, please point me in the right direction.

There's one on another board that specializes in JK's. Don't know if it's ok to post that link here.

It's not too difficult, I've had the radio out a few times already to work on various things.

Pop the top of the stack off in back, rotate the lid forward to remove it. Disconnect the compass sensor.

Pop the bottom most panel out.

2 screws up top and 2 screws at the bottom are now exposed, remove them.

Pop the clips gently on the rest of the faceplate and work it free.

Unclip the electrical connection for the windows, if present.

Push a screwdriver into the quick release slots to release the cables holding the climate control cables in place.

That should more or less have the panel out, now the radio comes out with 4 more screws.
