Yep. It's got everything. Just the stereo is suckily quiet. I listened to another stereo at the dealership and it was quite a bit louder.

Then put the jumper in. If you have the harness you need the jumper.

If I can borrow someone else's phone (mine is also my camera), I'll get some video of the recording. What a hilariously stupid feature to build into a car.
Just did the same test. It sounds like the sub woofer is totally off. And the rear speakers are 20-30 percent quieter. I think the difference is dramatic. I ran witness the stereo always set at 30 now 20 on side streets and 30 is my new max.

Don't believe it, start the JK with the top off, set the stereo to 20, stand at the rear bumper and put the jumper in and out.

I litterally am going to home depot now to get the jumper parts. Do they sell the jumper or do I have to make it?

I'm using a 50 cent 1 amp blade fuse. that I twisted the spade connectors on. If you spend more than 1 dollar on this mod you are doing it wrong...

actually you could do this with a 1 inch piece of solid copper, insulated wire with 1/4 inch stripped off each end. as long as the gage of the wire is thick enough to hold in the slots. maybe 14 or 12 gage?

Thats what I figured. Picked up 12 gauge and 14 gauge just in case. $0.39 and $0.29 per foot.

just did this at lunch, went with a 15 amp fuse- 'cause it matched the Jeep

louder? perhaps

different? without a doubt

almost sounds like it changes the EQ

better? subjective, but I left it in there for the drive home

At home depot in Katy, Texas they didnt have individual blade fuses. You had to buy a whole mess of them for $18.00. No thanks. Ill use the insulated copper.

I just put new speakers in my JKU along with a lockpick, uconnect mic, backup cam, and a rear headrest monitor for the kiddo. When to turn on the HDD and blast some music and thought I had wired something wrong! Looked it up on here, found this thread...and voila! Loudness and bass are back with a 10 cent fuse! Thanks JF!

The problem with using just the fuse is when you break the tip off, which you probably will at some point, you have to dig it out. Not to mention, my setup looks better. Only cost a few bucks.

because a mini fuse fits perfectly with the spades slightly twisted, and clips in solid, no need to make a jumper
