Quick release knobs for top

Has anyone every used these knobs on the covertable top.
It says they are for quick release of the "Bow Stack"...whats that? Do they work well?

These work fine. It's to remove the soft top entirely from the vehicle, so if you'll swap between a hard and soft top every week or two it might make a difference.
