Well i guess i should consider myself lucky as far as the head problem. I made it 32,000 miles before my check engine light came on for a misfire in cylindar #4. took it to the dealership and told them ive seen a lot of problems coming up with the heads on the pentastar. They told me it was probably a lazy lifter but they would look at it. Had to use my extended warranty to get a rental. Finally at 7:30 they called and told me it was a sticking valve problem and they would have to replace the head. Also told me the head was on back order and that i would have to drive the jeep until the part came in so they could fix it. They said it would likely cause more problems but they would also be repaired under warranty. Is it normal to expect this kind of care for my beloved JK? If so chrysler corp should hang its head in shame!

I'd say you're lucky they didn't reflash the computer and send you on your way.

Yea thats what they did to my neighbor's JKU even though it ran like crap. Took it to them twice before they said they would replace the head. Had the head replaced and two months later it was back at it only the check engine light didn't come on. Replaced the head again and its been fine. Only time will tell. I love the JKU but, Jeep should be ashamed they treat there customers like this.
Soccer six in the mix.

Hey all,
Got a 2012 wrangler purchased May 2013.. Since then been spending the last couple of months with the dealer jerking me around.
Oil change
Lifters replaced
O2 sensors replaced
All with the ticking noise and engine lights on...
Just yesterday they had a regional manager inspect the car and say that it's "normal"
I have spoken with Chrysler and they agree that the managers assessment is final.
I've sent a summary email outlining my case because it just stinks that they attempt to fix a problem, THEN claim it's normal..
Wondering if any one had any info they could send me to help in putting it to them to help my case..
Really big let down because I love this car!
Cheers, Sam

That's the way these things go - someone at corporate declares that warranty expense is too high so they start denying claims they used to approve. VW braggs to Wall Street about how warranty expense is down - of course it's down, they're denying valid claims they used to approve.
