haha shush it blue! we had no time, plus i may have forgotten brake fluid
btw, spent the rest of the weekend doing my hood vinyls and re centering hummer wheels for my friends crew cab. man do these things look sick. may have to grab me a set, i know a d range tire doesn't air down well, yes they are heavy, even though they only weigh in 15-20lbs heavier than my set up. i would definitely spend more money upgrading my axles were i to do this. but that would just make the build more fun. any ways heres some pictures
I had read through your JKU thread before but hadn't stopped back by since the fire until tonight. I might cry if mine went down, and it's old and beat. I think the stance on the 2dr is lookin pretty sweet. No offense, but better than the JKU looked.
If you can't stand behind our troops feel free to stand in front of them! Cavasar's TJ
haha thanks cavasar, i would actually like to go wider. surprisingly the 2.5" lift almost looks like too much. still have weight to add, and still needs to settle, hopefully i can get it to come down atleast an inch or so. then to build military wheels and tires and axles even more
thanks 1222 my family felt the same way about the tattoo, but oh well. i'm not a huge fan of the hood decal, but i feel during shows it may help to set it off. otherwise i'm just here to make it "my jeep" if people don't like the mods, no harm, no foul i guess haha
got the evo d-ring mounts in today, going to put an extra coat of paint on them then put them on tomorrow, also will hopefully get the winch on later, ill have to contact qudratec about the cables since they were lost in the fire.
found a product called insta blak online for aluminum, going to try different amounts with water to see if i can get a darker gray tint to the bumpers and rockers, of course with some testing first. should be a fun project and the stuff is reasonably priced. should be here by the end of this week so more updates soon!
rain here has been the new trend lately, so little work getting done on the jeep. i have decided on a plan once the stock wheels and tires are sold. first to upgrade the the front axle some more with some inner sleeves and ball joints, along with adding the truss that still needs put on. then ill be making some custom mounts and control arms. plan to stretch the rear a few inches (3-6") and the front 1-2". looking for a rear corner thatll work well where i can still bolt on my rear fender after the math. so far it looks like river raider, may just get my own cnc cut side armor from a local shop or something and keep the rear the same. then a rear drive shaft, will be going back to stock ride height after this.
the alumi black works well, but it takes a little while to take effect. so ill have to do everything at once most likely to get everything the same. planning on getting a lot done this weekend hopefully.
