Perfect Snow Setup: Wrangler:DuraTracs:JW Speaker Lights

Got our first big snow storm since I have owned the Wrangler, all setup with Duratracs to grip the snow and JW Speaker 8700 headlights so I can actually see....it performed amazing! I know I get a lot of heat on this forum for not wanting to go serious off-roading or crawl over rocks....but this is exactly the reason I got the wrangler, to deal with snowy driving in bad conditions...the bonus is that I love driving it all the time! Some pics from the other night....

How much snow did you get? Like the Duratracs when I had them.

I need to get new tires. Have the original stock rims. Have been looking at some rims from AEV... But may just get tires a but chunkier and keep original rims. Any suggestions?

highly recommend the Duratracs.....great in all weather, look great and aren't load. They ride very well for an E rated tire as well, was worried they would be very hard and harsh, but completely the opposite. love them! the wheels are GFX 18inchs....here are some better pics.

Even just stock, the JK performs exceptionally well in the snow. Make any mods and the performance gains are tremendous.

Wow. Love those tires. Was just on tirerack.com - didn't have them. Will have to shop around. Still a newbie here - will those tires for on the stock JK rims?

So many people like them and many use them on fleet vehicles. Makes them hard to get sometimes.

I bought the kelly safari tsr in 35" and studded. They were a few hundred less than duratracs for a set. 100% satisfied with them after a very snowy icy year so far here in western Canada. Duratracs im told are just slightly better than the kelly.

Stock JK does snow exceptionally well compared to most vehicles...we got 10 inches in the last few days and had no trouble. The brake lock diff is amazing.

So far no issues.....they are so bright, they just blast through and snow that has built up on them.....the only negative I can think of is that I sometimes notice some flickering, but that is typical with LEDs I'm told, believe there is a fix for this....just haven't searched yet on what it is...

JWSpeaker has a jumper harness that is supposed to eliminate flicker. I understand that they are providing them with lights now.
