Can a MAP sensor cause a P0401 DTC?

IMO Not likely. Check the EGR system, including tubing, valve, etc.

Thanx, working my way thru the egr system already replaced the valve cleaned the tube, still the p0401 I honestly don't know how to check the electrical part though

The valve, I believe, can be checked by putting a voltage directly on it and see if it opens. There is a procedure in my older 08 manual and I will look for it.

Thanks great! Been plaguing my dashboard for a while, and a bidirectional scantool is dam pricey
