Operation Jk Mirrors: Bye Bye
I hope this helps anyone that hates the jk mirrors!!!
Okay so if any of you are like me, from day one I have hated the jk mirrors on the doors. They look like they just dont belong on a jeep and as you know there arent many options out there but the relocation kit(but you still have to keep them god ugly 747 size mirrors),or motorcycle mirrors etc.. , . I came up with a plan.... operation get this **** off my jeep!, lol.. I failed the first time (that will come in a while). I found what fits perfect after my error so here it is!!! What is needed to make it right!--- 1, 2 70s style left hand (driver side) mirror arm and mount brackets, they are 9.99 on ebay..(here was my mistakeDo not get the ones that fit the tj's they dont work, thank God I have a tj too so they went on that rig!!LOL)(Do not get the passenger cj bracket, it has a crazy bend on it and wont line up right to see! ) DRIVER SIDES ONLY!!! 2, 2 5 inch round mirrors from agri supply, trator supply, or any farming dealer. If you prefer the also have square ones too!! 3, a drill bit or step bit and a little silicone 4, Warrior products mirror plug kit to cover the factory holes that kit is like $23 bucks ![]() Figure out the holes you need to open up some just one size larger to accomodate the windshield bolts and drill them ![]() use a little silicone on what you drilled as rust preventer and mount them on the winshield where you want them, the passy side fits the same just mirrored ![]() once you have done this its time to put the mirror on the bracket, they come with a L bracket on them just discard that and use the mounting bolt ![]() Now with the doors full open with strap stops on of course, you can see the mirrors dont hit ![]() you can use the passenger mirror too just the corner is not seen by the door, they can swing in a whole lot further to see full mirror but the door will hit at full open! ![]() I have to say these are much better than the jk stockers! and the cj brackets line up perfect with no modify!!

Nice mod.
Those mounts look like the ones from a CJ. If so, you should probably get a couple of spare plastic clamps. I’ve broken a few with my CJ over the years. I’m probably one of the few that happen to like the stock JK mirrors. They have been hit hard several times now and other than being scratched up, they’re still tight as new. ![]()

The Jeep in the decal has a broken C on it's front axle. |---\

I, for one, don't mind the jk stock mirrors at all. In fact, when I take my doors off I think it looks weird without the mirrors.
Nice mod though.

I don't know about those mirrors, to me they look weird and not something I would have done.
