Not open to the public - it is a fundraiser event for the wilds, exclusively for the green oval guild (land rover club), if it was explained to me accurately. Looks like there are 85 rovers registered, and one Jeep I don't think we're bringing the TJ, just the JK.
I'm very excited...my goal is going to be to chat with the organizers of this event and see if they would have interest in organizing a similar fundraiser with Jeeps. I'm sure we could put together the numbers between the Cincinatti JK Crew, the NEO jeepers, the JK Freaks around ohio, etc. At $100 a pop (I think that's what they're charging for registration for this one), they could make themselves a couple pennies.
I'm assuming that the invitation of Trail Quest (and they're covering our registration fee for us) was for just that purpose...get a spokesperson with reach within the Jeep community to generate interest...or at least I'm hoping that was the purpose!
What a great opportunity! Have fun and post some pics.

Yes, pictures would be good. This will be entertaining as heck. I'd like to see their faces when you drive that monster up there on 40's!!! That is when you need to have the camera ready. And when it's all said and done, ask them to go to one of your trails!!!
Make use of some Top Gear Top Tips:
[*]Corrugated metal, tarp, and aluminum cans will protect you from lions[*]Sneak some raw steaks onto a Land Rover's engine block[*]Gather any skulls and mount them on your hood[*]Make sure you photograph any awesome combovers
In the Botswana episode, they have to cross Africa in cheap 2WD junkers to prove that you don't need 4WD just because you live in a place where you get leaves on your driveway.
In the Bolivia episode, they buy cheap 4WD vehicles and have to cross South America... including fording the Amazon River, driving up to 17,200' on an active volcano, and driving about half a mile down a steep sand dune.
