Thanks for the information guys. I will start buying the parts to do this, will post results.

What I'm going to do is run a blue sea 12 fuse block under the hood with 4-6 gauge wires from the battery to fuse block. I will use 2 of the available fuse slots to run 4 15 amp sockets. 2 pair (positive and negative)of 10 gauge wire will run from the fuse block to the 4 12v sockets run in parallel. Ill use 14 gauge wire to run the 2 stream light chargers (pulling less than .2 amps) also run in parallel. so 3 pairs of cables total.

Also considering adding more 12V sockets to my center console in the rear............not certain yet though.

Thanks for the help guys.

mid install. This is taking forever! im in about 12hours and nothing is mounted. However I also built the power panal today so that was time consuming.

Also ran 12 gauge wire instead to the 12v plugs. 14 gauge to the chargers.

Pics to follow when im done. Ive taken a few photographs.

Alright. So I have the temporary install done. I need to come up with a better mounting system and different screws to hold the box together.

the tape is holding the bottem half of the box together. The screws that came with the box would only work one way. So I will get fresh screws to fix that.

Also need to hide the wires better.

Looking good and nice project too.

The only problem I see with it mounted in that location is if you load up the back like I do sometimes with coolers, camp chairs and other related stuff. Then perhaps you wouldn’t able to use the outlets without the gear pushing on the plugs that would be sticking straight out if in use. Any way you could mount it up higher off the floor?

I added one in the back of the front console for the kid's to plug in their DVD players. Very easy but not nearly as cool as the black box with the stream lights and chargers.

I have a hard time tying not to see your avatar. My peripheral vision can still see it. Will you accept 1,262 dollars and 39 cents to change it? I can send you a check.

Now the technical part. I think that putting a 12v outlet there is a great idea.
