Doesn't the remote start have a separate receiver and rolling code? If it does, then you would have to follow the procedure to synch the rolling code.

I do not consider myself a smartass. I point out the obvious, search for the truth, and speak fluent sarcasm. I am, by experience, an accomplished curmudgeon.
They lock, unlock both with the button and manually. They start the Jeep manually, BUT the remote start doesn't work. Anyone have issues with a JK with remote start?
I had a similar problem, I took my spare key off the wall and the remote wouldn't work. I started the Jeep fine with it then I shut the Jeep off and the remote buttons worked on the spare. A week later I tried it again and the spare didn't work. Perhaps it only works with one key at a time I haven't messed with it since, maybe someone else can explain it.
I've been looking online everywhere and I can't seem find how to program a new remote. Can someone send or post instructions on how to do this? I have an old 07 Compass key fob i'd like to use as a spare for my '13 JKU (fob only, i know the key wont work).
Possibly have to reconfigure the vehicle.didnt know you could turn the horn off when remote starting. How did you do this?
I used the EVIC to turn off the horn when you lock and unlock the doors/turn off/on the alarm. It's definitely easier with the 2012 EVIC as opposed to my 2010 and the nintendo cheat code programming you need to do with the key fob.
