OBDII Plug Dead:

2010 Jeep Rubicon, 2 door. Stock with K&N. superchip flaspaq.

Hi guy's, hope someone has an idea what's going on.

Went to return jeep to stock configuration with my superchip and the OBDII plug is dead.

I tried to connect my scan gauge, same results.

Checked the fuses and they are OK. My MIL symbol flashes with the key in on and then stays solid. It's supposed to stay solid.

Any ideas? I have an appointment tomorrow in the dealer. Should I postpone it till I set the JK to stock or take it in?

Thanks
Tom-Fakrwee

no hold off, unless your sure dealer is mod freindly. i hear on this forum, some dealers go out of their way to void warranty. i "think i have read that that there is something in the computer that sets off something when computer retuned." i'm sure others who know exactly what happened will chime in. don't risk warranty just yet.

I would not take it to the dealer if the problem is computer related....an aftermarket program was the first thing they looked for with my stall issue (still not fixed).

Thanks guy's I kinda figured that. I'll hold off taking it in till I find out what's going on.

Jeepcache, that's the funny part, it's for a free oil change and tire rotation.

Anyone know why the MIL symbol flashes?

Thanks guy's. I guess I'll keep looking and see if I can fix it before I go. Hope it's nothing I have to take it in.

Jeepcache, funny thing, it's for a free oil change and tire rotation.

It has to be a fuse somewhere.

I am not at home. Otherwise I'd pull out my manual to look for the fuse box info. I believe there is one in the engine bay and one behind the glove box.

Hey Planman. I took it in and the dealer prefers I return it back to stock before he services it. He showed me a couple of more fuses I should remove.
I can't find the fuse box behind the glove box. Can anyone help me locate it?

Thanks guy's.

The owners manual will have a section regarding the fuse box locations. I'm not familiar with the locations because I haven't popped any fuses.

There is only one fuse box - the TIPM (Totally Integrated Power Module) in the engine bay.

Well done just about everything and plug is still dead.
It's also doing the following:
With the key in on position the engine or MIL light comes on.

5. Approximately 15 seconds later, one of two things will
happen:
a. The MIL will flash for about 10 seconds and then
return to being fully illuminated until you turn OFF
the ignition or start the engine. This means that your
vehicle’s OBD II system is not ready and you should
not proceed to the I/M station.
b. The MIL will not flash at all and will remain fully
illuminated until you turn OFF the ignition or start the
engine. This means that your vehicle’s OBD II system
is ready and you can proceed to the I/M station

Mine is doing a. What the hell is going on? I guess I might have to bite the bullet and take it in to the dealer. Dam.

be sure and check all connecters from the plug to the computer.

call superchips before taking it to the dealer.

be sure its the plug and not the flaspaq try a code reader.
