Not working: ESP button, Hazards button, interior light

Bought my JK a few weeks ago and its awesome. But unfortunately, I'm starting to find little things that don't work, and I was hoping that someone here might have had the same problems and could let me know how to fix (hopefully a fuse or a loose wire?).

Interior Lights:
I usually drive during the day, so I didn't notice that the interior light doesn't go on when the door is opened, or when the key FOB is locked/unlocked, until a few days after I bought it. I tried to adjust the interior dash light from 0 to something higher, but that wasn't the problem. Of course, it could be the light itself, but that would be weird in a brand new Jeep.

ESP/Hazard Bar:
Nada working here. Hit the ESP button, nothing. Hit the hazards button, nothing.

Any help would be appreciated. I will bring it to the dealer if necessary, but the service departments around here are pretty poorly rated -- and that is a generous description.

check the rotating knob on the light switch, about 1/2 inch inward of the knob you rotate to turn on the headlights... it has a feature that turns off the dome light.

The hazard and EFS switches have carbon on the back of them and touch a printed circuit board to make electrical connection.
The circuit board may be bad or just dirty. Take the switch assy apart and you can wipe it with a WD40 soaked cloth. Worked for me, when mine wouldn't work.

I tried turning the rotating knob on the light switch, that didn't do it. Any other possibility?

Thanks for the info on the switch panel. How did you take the panel off to check?

Top and bottom sections snap out.. middle section is held on with some 7mm head screws. The switch assy then comes out of the plastic panel.

bring that sucker back to where you got it, should still be under warranty hopefully. and if not ... you could try demanding it.
