It's an AEV hood minus the cut outs with mesh. Mopar calls it a Power Dome hood. It's also known to make big ice cubes in winter weather in the front divot and launch them at your windshield.

And there's probably 4" of clearance between the engine cover and the regular hood.

Well they couldn't call it the Heat Reduction hood since it has no vents. As far as the bulge, mine has the sound dampner on it so there is no difference in clearance.
