Hi,

I"m a girl and just bought a 2007 JK Wrangler Sahara. Don't know anything about Jeeps! LOL

Does anyone know what size my subwoofer is?

Does anyone know if the button for the electrical socket breaks often? I can't figure out how to unplug it therefore can't remove my hard top..

What size tires do you recommend for me? or any accessories... I hear lots of stuff can be stolen so do you suggest Anti Theft door pins, etc?

Thanks,

Vic:t

Welcome, first off

Depending on what type of area you live, the level of security you'd want is different. I have Tuffy's center console and rear deck enclosure just because I go into the "city" pretty often, and 1/2 the year I don't have any doors or windows.

As for tires, if you asked 100 people, you'd get 100 different responses. It all depends on how/where/if you wheel it and what you prefer personally.

Isn't much help, I know, but poke around, read some threads....you'll get ideas

Hi, and welcome to Jeep Forum!

I believe the subwoofer is an 8". I hear if you want a little better sound out of the speakers, to fill the soundbar (above your head) with polyfill.

Do you mean the electrical connector for the rear wiper on the hardtop? There is a red tab on it that has to be slid to one side before it will disconnect.

As for the door hinge pin lock nuts. Well, I haven't bothered putting the nuts back on the hinge pins in over two years. I just lock the door. They can't remove the door if it is locked.

Tuffy makes an underseat lock box for the driver's seat. I have one that I keep my "self-defense device" secured when I leave the Jeep alone. https://www.tuffyproducts.com/p-282-...ty-drawer.aspx

Best advice is to peruse this section for ideas, take your Jeep off-road stock (you'll be surprised at what it is capable of doing while stock!), and let it tell you what you need/want. Join a 4x4 club in your area and go for some rides. #1 Rule: Never off-road alone! You could get stuck, break down, or worse...roll over.

There are infinite ways to modify your Jeep. Just depends on what you want to do. Cruise the malls ("mall crawler"), sand dunes, rock crawling, mud bogging, forest service trails, etc.. Each has different needs (lift, tires, gears, accessories, etc).

If the mod-bug has already bitten you, here is a thread of cheap mods to get you started: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f96/o...bored-1028425/

Were is the normal flaming for not reading the FAQ?

Check out the FAQ and Stickys at the top of the forum as well as the search feature. Esp for tire sizes. More times than not someone has asked the same questions more than once and a lot of advice can be found there.

Welcome to the forum.

"I"m a girl" I think that statement is why there has been no flaming so far.
