New Small Hidden Storage MOD w/pics
Came up with this today while stuck in a snow storm drinking beer. Took about 1/2 an hour to do.
4 vents are overkill on the JK dash...hope you guys like... HERE IT IS INSTALLED: CAN'T EVEN TELL IT'S THERE (gives you about a 3"x5" hidden storage area) Cost me nothing, now that's a CHEAP MOD:

keys (who locks their jeep, not me and my main reason for thinking about this) now i don't have to carry them anywhere. (change) you don't want to leave out to attract thieves...it can also be used when you are in the jeep in the open position, to hold things like glasses, pens, small cell phones, etc...

I was going to add a storage compartment in my headrest but I couldn't find anything to penetrate the material.

Make mine a Jeep!

You say you came up with the idea while drinking alcohol? You’re going to put your keys and money in there. Hmm, that explains it. Might be a good idea for you to stop drinking.
Seriously though, why did you block the one of two vents that put out the most air, heated or cooling? At least puts it on one of the side vents. |

I just saw that someone measured the heat output and its 200F+. You could probably cook some food in there on your way home or something.

What the heck are we hidding there? Drugs? I love the creativity however the functional aspect of the mod I think could be executed in perhaps a better way, Like a access panel for the windshield pillars, or like some said above about the head rest. Heck a slit or the current opening in the bottom of the head rest you could probably be able to squeeze your keys in there IF THATS WHAT THIS MOD WAS INTENDED FOR.......???
