New Jeep owner

First time jeep owner (23 yrs old and can finally afford my own car). I bought the 2dr Sahara (Red Rock w/ khaki hard top) but can't afford all the mods that make it look absolutely sick. I love the way it looks right now but wanted to know of any suggestions for modifications that people have done in the past that weren't too expensive.

Also, how able is my stock Jeep right now on the trail? I know many have heavy mods on theirs but I wasn't sure what stock can do for you? Anything to be careful for? Thanks and I love the forum.

More aggressive tires both add to the look and help significantly in off road situations. As far as capability, your Jeep is a very capable wheeler straight off the lot. As your off road driving skills improve you can add mods a few at a time as funds permit.

I agree if you're new to off-roading then having only the stock Jeep might be the best thing for you. Not only will it give you a chance to sharpen your skills, but it could also help you not get into a situation you cant get out of. Plus whats the fun in off-roading if theres not skill involved. Personally I only use things like lockers and such in extream situations. Dont get me wrong I think that you would love a lift kit and bigger tires and I advicate that you do just that, but at a modest level. Welcome to the forum and congrates on your new purchase.
