need help identifying part

This fell of my 2012 jk sport. It landed under driver side front axle. I was installing a lift when it fell. No other bolts or nuts fell with it.http://i.imgur.com/VF9aE6V.jpg

That looks like a crankshaft Main Bearing Cap-

Kinda doubt that it's off your 3.6l-

It does look like a spun main bearing cap.

mains use an insert. all inserts (std and auto) use a tang to keep the insert from spinning.

the cap above has no tang slot therefore no insert - it IS the bearing surface. looks more like a cam bearing cap (and i've not seen the 3.6 caps specifically).... wonder if op had a head replaced....

Cam journal cap--never heard of one on a Chrysler V8/V6, so-

It's obvious that I'm brainless about the new ones--

This is a good signal for me to just stay outta the 2012-plus questions-

Have a great day-

[each 3.6L head has an exhaust camshaft, and an intake camshaft]

journal cap #1 [each cam has 4 journal bearings, marked 1 thru 4 from front to back, and I or E for intake or exhaust]
