2. Go into engineering menu (Press Seek Up+Seek Down+Menu all at once) and go down to page 4 or 5. You'll see a button labeled "Enable JK HF+VR". Press that button. It will change from Enable to Disable and the UConnect will now be active.
If you don't have a MyGig, then you need to add a module, and have it scanned. I have that info as well if you need it.

Hi there
I just installed the Uconnect mic kit. Went through 4 of 4 pages of the Engineering Menu and can't find one labeled "Enable JK HF&VR" on any of the pages.
Any thoughts/ideas?
Thank you

What software version are you running? The older versions (I see you have an 07) didn't have the feature available. You can download the latest software at http://mofv.com/mygig and you'll be all set.

Thanks so much.
Yes, it is the original version. Mygig has worked perfect so figured I shouldn't mess with it!
Just downloaded latest version and will install it when I get home tonight.
Just found this forum a couple months ago and the wealth of knowledge is amazing!

I thought the latest upgrade for mygig nav's was supposed to eliminate the Accept screen. if it didn't do it automatically, what needs to be done?

I think they meant that after a few seconds, the Accept screen will go away on its own (vs. waiting indefinitely for you to press it).

I finally went from v. 9.807 to 2.043. Best new feature? The one I was asking for since I got my Jeep, a pause/play button

Picked up my '10 Wrangler today and was happy to see it came with 2.043 already to go on it. Was expecting to have to burn a CD when I got home, ... instead I got an excuse to ride around for another half hour instead.

Anyone have their mygig quit working. Mine went black yesterday. When you hit the eject button the splash screen comes up then it goes out and the unit powers off. Any suggestions on what is causing this? Thanks for any suggestions.

Did you install a lockpick? If so, sounds like the connections are loose. (Even if you didn't it still sounds like the connection in the back is slightly loose) and it's not getting the signal to turn on from the canbus.

question for someone who installed mygig themselves. I did a few days ago. my gps antenna arrives on monday. until then, I have no satellites obviously. but the jeep still thinks it's in another city, where the original owner lived. and in another area, I see NAVIGATION IS NOT ACTIVATED. is that b/c of no antenna. or do I need to do something.
I have lockpick arriving on monday with the gps antenna. Will that fix it all?
Best regards and Happy New Year!

You have to set up the default state and your home address. Press menu on the right side. The rest is pretty self explanatory.

Install the lockpick where accessible easily. I had to disconnect and poweron mygig, then reconnect lockpick to fix occasional "no video-button while driving" issue.

Can you receive tv signals without an antenna? Can you receive Direct Tv Or dish Network without an antenna? why are you so surprised that you cannot see GPS sats with out an antenna? Be patient and wait for your antenna. Your life will drastically improve as soon as you install the GPS antenna.
