Any chance traffic comes free if you renew the radio?

I had my MyGig for a few months before traffic suddenly started working. It was cool. Ended up selling that JK before my subscription ran out, so not sure how the renewal would have worked.

I've been looking at the Pioneer AVIC Z110BT. From what I see, it looks pretty sweet.

The sirius trafic is an extra cost, great if living in the US (worth the extra 5 bucks a month).....
but in Canada for some reason i can't renew it. I'm going to have to talk to my dealership
to see how they activated the one on mine.

Did you actually receive real time traffic info in Canada? That is what "Sirius Traffic" is. You'll still be able to use the GPS and routing functions as you do now. I just renewed both Traffic and Sirius radio today but truth be told I haven't seen the big benefit from Sirius Traffic. Most often it is either wrong or outdated data.

On my way back from Mount Washington this past July there was a huge acciedent on I-95 just north of Boston. The Sirius Traffic picked up on it and navigated us around the delays. I have to say it was pretty sweet. It took us off I-95, through some local streets and then got us back on I-95 after the accident. The police were detouring everyone off at the closest exit to the accident, the Sirius took us off two or three exits before and we went around it.

I am definately going to renew it when the free trial is up.

Well real time for the sirius traffic up here may be delayed by a few minutes but usually pretty accurate. I've run into many traffic jams that i was able to determine where the accident was and make an alternate route.

Interesting but you can't renew it? I'd call in again and talk to someone different. I have found that most CS reps are not trained well. Find someone that knows what they are talking about.

Anyone else load the new RER 2.043 version? I just loaded today and i like the new bluetooth indicators to know you are connected etc...also the battery monitor etc. So far so good...

I got 2.043 too! The battery indicator has been in previous versions. The BT indicator is new from 2.042

Yea i couldn't remember. I never installed .042 because last I looked it was only a prerelease and I didn't want to mess with that. I like knowing its connected though. Any other good changes or just bug fixes?

Did you see the hide button on the map screen. The one in the lower right corner. If you press it, all the detail stuff (road name, direction, etc.) will hid, leaving you just a plain map view. Press the button again, and it returns.

alright, what the hell am I doing wrong? i've downloaded and burned the 3 files to a formatted cdrom (version 9.807 and also tried 2.043), the mygig just wants to play it as an audio cd (which actually sounds cool, but I like old industrial music)- when I press "copy" it gives me an error message (some kind of copy error, I forget what it said). I burned the files (unzipped, of course) as data and named the cdroms RER_9.807 and RER_2.043.

nevermind, it was the multisession box I forgot to check.

This started as an intermittent problem, now the volume is stuck at 9!. Turning the control knob does nothing, anyone heard of this before? I do have lockpick installed and it’s been working fine for several months

Anyone with the iPod interface cable notice a difference in the way the iPod charges now with the new upgrade? Before my iPod kept the jeep logo and was still active when the car was off...right or wrong that was how it was. Now it seems that when I turn the car off it says "ok to disconnect". I only noticed becuase the iPod came out half charged when i took it to another car. I just did the 2.043 upgrade...anyone else see this?

does anyone know where the UConnect module is located (specifically in a 2010)? I am trying to hook up my ipod integration cable and can't find where the dang module is to connect it! Thanks for any help
