Yes that does include the gears. They also told me that I would not have to change carriers in the front even though I have the 3.21's. Which i thought was odd.

that's probably not too far out of line, ordered on line good gears with rebuild kits will run $600. I'm pretty sure you need a new carrier, maybe they include it, about $70.

Almost everything from krawl off road has showed up. RK lift will be here on monday. Got the gears done last friday. 4.88 gearing with stock tires. It makes for a quick and torquey but slow jk. Everything is going in next weekend. I will try to document as much as possible as i do it.

Got the lift and tires installed, So far so great, My only question is that I am getting a bit more bump steer while off road , is that just a characteristic of the 35 in tires or is there something i can track down to help eliminate it.

Pics of the lift and tires?

Ps, what is a carrier when talking about the gears? Do gear kits include them or not?

A carrier is what holds the ring gear in the differential. Gear kits do not include them. Part number 8 in the diagram below.

Things I have learned since driving the jeep. 4.88 gearing is still a little rough on the highway. It also makes using 4 Lo almost unnecessary. I had to use 4-6 to have a move faster than an absolute crawl. Transfer case whines some now while in use. Have a small clunk in the steering and it wanders and pulls a little while on the road. Bump steer is more than it used to be. The goodyears really throw the mud.

I have synergy ball joints that still need to go in. Tires are at 28 psi.

Pictures now. I dont know haw to make them bigger. Any help with that.

I had a clunk in my steering, and the dealer covered it under the basic. They replaced the steering box and the shaft. Apparently it's not uncommon.

I wonder if the dealership would even want to look at it now that the lift is in. I could barely feel the clunk pre lift. Now that the big tires and what not is in its more pronounced.

Worth a shot. Call up cyrstler and open a claim and try to prove that it happens on a lot of JK's and it should be covered. They don't ask about mods over the phone. In my experience opening claims has saved my thousands when I know the warranty was void or expired.

By Chrysler you mean a dealer or corporate themselves?

I am going to get it aligned soon, just because. it tracks straight and all i just want the numbers and to see where my pinion angle is at. What should it be close to for a 2.5 lift anyways?

Corporate.

Do you have a double CV, or a stock DS?
