Modular Hard Top Status?

Hi,

I'm going to be ordering my Red Rock Unlimited Rubicon tomorrow and am interested in the Modular Hard Top (as well as the soft). The salesman said he has no idea when the hard top will be re-released. Does anybody have any idea?

I also wanted the MyGig...BUT...I've read enough on here not to hold my breath...

The salesman referred to Chrysler as the "Not Ready Yet" Corporation. Ha!

Anyways, any info. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks folks and Best to you!

I ordered a seperate hard top about 3 weeks ago and received it within 1.5 weeks. Seems to me, if there was a hard top shortage, that would have taken a LOT longer.

Sidenote: I installed it myself, has not leaked once.

There's hard tops out there. There is no "waiting to be released." The salesman is wanting to make right now rather than take a chance that you will go to another dealership that has a hard top in stock. Maybe there is more of a delay with dual top group than just the regular hard top.

The dealer told me that dual top group is not being produced and there is no idea when production will resume...

Soooo.....does anyone know if the hard top problem/issue has been resolved and fixed?

Placin' my Rubicon order today......

As mentioned above by my order post, there is no hold on hard tops. You can go right now and order a hard top, and there is no delay in receiving. It will take the normal time any hard top does to come in on a truck.

Great, does that also include the Dual Top Package? I would assume so, but you never know with Chrysler.

Thanks!

I've read they are re-designing the tops for '08 Wranglers, so production on tops for '07 Wranglers may have stopped recently and we don't know about it.

Where did you read that? I would be interested to read what changes they are making. Altough, maybe not, since I just shelled out the money for this one.

I have a Sahara Unlimited, Dual top, MyGig and some ther stuff on order. My dealer called me this morning and said it moved into the frame shop over the weekend (E status). If all goes well he said I should see it by the weekend or early next week. (It only has to go across town Toledo)

FYI
It was orderd on Jan 9th but we have only been waiting for 3 weeks. The dealer had it on order but no one had a deposit on it, so we nabbed it.

I would guess that you have another 2-3 weeks yet, assuming no problems with the MyGig. It will sit in KZ status for at least a week. I could be wrong on this but based on previous posts on this thread, even without the rail segment, it is a couple of weeks from E status to storage. I hope the MyGig orders start clearing up. Many posters have indicated that orders have been delayed and cancelled because of the MyGig issues. Good luck and let us know when it arrives.
