Molshove wins. Loser dude posting in a forum dedicated to a vehicle he refuses to own loses.

No offense taken by me when JF people insult my JunK. My JunK has D44s, lockers and gets to play in Colorado. Call it what you want.

$40k on a new Wrangler is really easy. Base rubicon + lift, wheels, and tires and boom you're there. Anything else, and you're creeping up and up.

So anyway.........................
Tuesday the order banks open at the dealerships, right? But they don't get pricing information for another 4 weeks, so how does that work?

We call it "ordering blind." I would never order a vehicle tagged as "sold" for a customer blind, because you, the customer, could back out of the deal and I get a slap on the wrist and punishment with future orders from the MFGR for not delivering the vehicle they expedited as a "sold unit". Only time that will happen for a customer is if it's a hot car and they HAVE to have the first one, with a big deposit (think when Camaro first came out, or Challenger, etc.)
It gives me the ability to get a jump start on my first allocation of the next model year (because I'm going to order them for stock with the popular option packages (regardless of what the price increase is).
Make sense?

Yeah it makes sense, but last year a lot of guys were "ordering" '12s and the assembly line wasn't even fired up yet. I was just wondering about the process in general. Personally I want to see some of the new '13 colors in person before I decide (if I decide.. still holding out hope for a CRD).

Yeah technically you can, but I prefer (as a dealer) to have my customers wait for pricing, or give me a hefty deposit that I clearly explain is non-refundable.
I'm the same way...colors NEVER look like they do in brochures/on the website, especially given some of the wacky colors that Wrangler uses

They still come with solid axles and a link suspension, and you can still get a stripped down, plain Jane model, even as a Rubicon. If the soccer moms don't wave back, my feelings aren't hurt any.

Which is exactly what I got. JKUR with no options. And it's still nicer than the TJ it replaced in every respect. But utilitarian enough...

Not even close. I never would have gotten Dozer based off the brochure or website...
Pics on here and in person sold me on it.
