Moab edition JK?

Anyone know anything about these? I did a search but nothing much came up.

Just curious what options they come with. The one I am looking at appears to have 35 inch tires and a lift, which i suppose is part of the Moab customization package...

Does it have the factory locker?

Any info on this "edition" is appreciated...

Is it maybe just a dealer thing? And not necessarily from factory.

I dont think its a dealer thing, I have seen a few listings across the country...

Just curious if anyone owns one or knows what is included in the package.

Look on the jeep web site. if it isn't listed then it is a dealer package.

I looked and saw nothing. I believe it is like most set ups, dealer driven.

2007, 4 door, powered by a minivan engine, locked and riding on 35's.

I saw a Rubi at the dealership once with 35s, a lift, Jeep metal bumpers front and rear and a Warn winch. It was all done by the dealership which also has an offroad shop. Of course, nothing they did voided the warranty and the bumpers and winch were available thru Jeep anyway.

I understand what you guys are saying, but if you google it, you will see multiple dealers across the nation have some of these jeeps.

They have a "Moab" sticker on the hood where you normally see Rubicon.

Says they are customized by "Moab Industries".

Guess no one has one on here or has seen one.

I was thinking it was something like a Saleen mustang or something...

OK... So I did a little poking around. It looks like these are showing up at dealers specifically in AZ, UT, NV area. It appears that Moab Industries is just a customizing shop that is fixing the rigs up for the dealers (definitely nothing to do with Jeep Corporate).

Here's a thread on jk forum from somebody that owns one:
http://www.jk-forum.com/showthread.php?t=42140

Basically a standard X model with a 5" lift, 35" tires, custom wheels, and some custom paint on suspension components

Moab Industries website is a parking page that states:
Welcome to Moab Industries. Home of the Authentic Moab Wrangler and Mustang GTR Replicas. New for '07: Off-Road Aftermarket for Dodge, Ford, and GM products.

for details and info on our JK's, check out http://n2rock.com

His: '07 Unlimited X, Jeep Green, Hardtop, auto, 5.13, 2.5" RC lift and too many mods to list

Hers: '08 X Red Rock, soft top, auto. Bunch of mods

It would be better if they would start with a Rubicon.

But hardly as profitable.

No, its a smaller dealer i believe. Not Towbin.

http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/ctd/986447397.html

I am not sure if I agree with you that its a Dealer thing... seems like Moab industries is a small biz doing some minor cutomizations... Looks like all the ones across the country have the same modifications.

As for the barbie jeep, who ever it was sold to works in the building next to mine. It is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. Crazy purple body kit, flowers on the hood and doors... Makes me want to puke.

Edit: LOL much?

LOL, that is funny, I sold that barbie beast, and yes it was a middle aged blonde lady who paid cash for it, LOL it came from Desert dodge, the GM, also a blonde, had the idea to make it to begin with. I would never drive it, but she loved it..LOL. I have worked at many dealers over 13 years, and yes I can assure you that kit is not a factory kit. The dealership had installed it, whether it be that company or not. I can tell you I have the stickers on outr Jeep, and that is only part that came from them. The lift is a Rusty's and the bumpers and tire carrier are Mopar. The dealership is Adam's in Aberdeen, MD, who makes them and sells them off the lot new like that around here. When I lived in vegas, we customized everything. We had a 60k 300 outside the casino on the strip at MGM, during a prize fight. Vegas has a lot of differant cars, that people create if you would. People in Vegas like cars..LOL
