Miles to the gallon

I have checked my miles to the gallon against what the computor tells me and it is off by 2 MPG higher (19 computor versis 17 calculated ). Is anyone else seeing this and is there a fix. My 1999 S-10 Blazer is almost perfect.

I filled up my tank yesterday. Computer gave me 13.5mpg since last fillup (auto, city driving). That's down from 14 the previous time, and about 15 the time before that.

My computer reports 17.4 to 17.6. I have not checked to see if it is acurate.

I'm anywhere between 15.6 and 18.7. 15.6 for the normal day to day stuff (I only live a mile away from my office) and 18.7 when I'm taking long trips on the highway. So far the computer has been pretty accurate or as close as I would expect it to be.

6 speed, lots of rural and highway driving. Computer says 23.5 to 25. Manual check shows computer off. Getting right at 20. My GM's are right on the money. I've been wondering about this...................

When mine had the stock tires, my computer was 2mpg off as well. (when it read 21.5mpg, I calculated 19.5mpg)

With the 33's and the computer not yet recalib. for them, it's reading 18.8mpg and I calc. at last fillup 17.6mpg.

Not reallly any rhyme or reason to those numbers, so I'll be interested to see what happens when I take her in on the 10th.

BTW, 6spd, mix of hiway and intown, no hotrodding, even clutching/shifting, no evasive manuevers or transmission braking.
