For those of you considering one of these exhaust systems, you won't be disappointed. I have the 4 door standard kit. Install was easy and shipping was quick. As you might expect getting the stock system off took more time than installing the MBRP system.

The sound is great, not ricer at all. Not so loud that it will irritate your neighbors. No drone at highway speeds. It's probably just in my head but the Jeep seems a little more peppy, certainly not a huge change but worth it to me. It's nice just to be able to hear the engine.

So get out there and hunt and fish and mess around with your friends, ramble out yonder and explore the forests, encounter the grizz, climb the mountains, bag the peaks, run the rivers, breath deep of that yet sweet and lucid air, sit quietly for a while and contemplate the precious stillness, that lovely mysterious and awesome space. Enjoy yourselves, keep your brain in your head and your head firmly attached to the body, the body active and alive, and I promise you this one sweet victory over our enemies, over those desk-bound people with their hearts in a safe deposit box and their eyes hypnotized by desk calculators. I'm glad to hear you are completely satisfied with you're exhaust! I'd be happy to help anyone out interested in picking up one of our systems for their rigs!

Question for those who installed the "4-Dr, Off-Road Tail Pipe, Muffler before Axle" (relocated muffler):

Did you have to relocate your evap canister?

MBRP's instructions don't mention having to relocate it, but 4wd.com says you will need to relocate it.

Is there a heat shield for the muffler? Do you need one?

Thanks,
Mike

Mike,

The 4 door JK's do not require any kind of evap canister relocation. The muffler sits behind the canister and the pipe running past it is no different than the factory exhaust as far as heat and clearance.

The 2 door's do require a heat shield or evap relocation due to the fact that the wheel base is shorter which means our muffler has to sit a few inches away from the canister. We have been running a relocation on our 2 door for over a month with no relocation and no heat shield but the temperature has been fairly cool up here and we are not sitting in stop and go traffic.

If you live in a warmer climate, or do a lot of city driving we recommend moving the canister in order to avoid the possibility of damaging the canister over a prolonged period of time.

Let me know if you need any further information about our products.

Good to hear. Now you're JK is going to sound like it should have from the factory! Did you lift the Jeep to install it? Or did you have enough room just crawling underneath it?

Either way, thanks for the update!

I really like how this exhaust sounds, and it relocates the ugly stock muffler, which i painted, that is now rusting again.
Wish there was more videos of it on youtube.
