MBRP JK Cat-Back Exhaust

We have officially released our Jeep lineup and I would like to let everyone know that these systems are ready to ship.

They have a deep mellow exhaust note when cruising and sound more aggressive under load. They have no annoying drone and sound awesome with both the hard and soft tops on or off. The muffler is tucked up under the rear bumper but you can see just enough to catch the eye. Our tail pipe clears the rear bumper and sits just a few inches below with a nice polished 304 stainless steel tip.

I have some pictures of our jeep for everyone to see. I will have some sound and video clips available next week. To place an order, or for more info, please feel free to give me a call directly at MBRP Performance Exhaust.

Why didn't you relocate the muffler on the 4 door??? It is in a disasterous place.

You should post a link to a sound clip IMO. Ive seen a couple JK's on the street with exhausts, they sounded horrible....almost like a honda. Im afraid of diving into a cat back from these experiences.

another exhaust manufacture that was not smart enough to figure out what people need before designing a nice bolt on kit. GREAT you just designed the same type of thing that 25 other companies have done.
If they would join on ANY board they would see that it needs to be relocated!!!

I'll bet it sounds sweet........but , Im not going to replace mine with anything unless it moves from the stock location. Sounds like somebody didnt talk to their target customers, or if they did, they are targeting the mall -crawlers. Now Im going to vent.......somebody needs to make a decent kit for the 2-doors (a reasonable price would be nice too). While we are here, MBRP, can you tell us about your customer service? Do you actually answer calls when customers have troubles or questions? ( I hate to ask, but most companies hide from the customer service questions after the transaction) Warranty? Better yet, How bout MBRP sends me one for my 2 door and I will test it's off-road worthiness and report back!

I would just like to insure you that we do take into account what the customer is looking for in the ultimate jeep exhaust. We strive to produce a system that both performs, and sounds as good as possible while still being simple to install for the average "do it your selfer." This means the systems usually mount on factory hangers and are all bolt together. With no cutting or welding required it makes it possible for anyone to put on a system that we believe is a big improvement over the factory equipment.

If you or anyone else is looking for a relocated muffler set up we do offer a wide variety of mufflers, hangers, mandrel bent pipe, and all the components needed to build a system of your own preference. Let me know if there is anything I can help you with from part numbers to prices. I'm happy to help.

Thanks for your input and let me know if there is anything I may be able to help you with. I am here Monday through Friday and we have a live customer service department who is also ready to take your calls if anyone might have questions or is looking for further information.

It seems to me that if you have the parts to do a relocation for the 2 Doors, you should put a kit together. you would be the only company that has one!

We are looking at getting a 2 door in for fitment. Without looking closely at this Jeep we can't say for sure whether or not it would be possible to relocate the muffler.

The muffler would need to be tucked high between the frame rails but I don't actually know how much room there is to work with. If it's too low, you still have the same problem, too high, you risk melting or damaging the floor, brake lines, or anything else close by.

I'd like to see what we (you're) working with.

Could you take some pictures of your jeep and post or email them to me?

Thanks.

I would if I could but Im deployed right now (Iraq)........If I were home, I would even let you borrow it to make the kit. I think it is possible if the evap canister is relocated... (woods kit)

MBRP Muffler Relocation System

We have been listening to suggestions made by forum members who are looking for a bolt on cat back muffler relocation system. We have produced exactly that. Our prototype system has been completed and I have a few pictures to give everyone an idea of what it will look like.

This system does not require the relocation of the charcoal canister...DIRECT FIT! Easy install and no cutting or welding required.

We will have a system developed for the 2 door in the next week and will have pictures to post late next week or the first or the following week.

Thank you to everyone who has given us suggestions and feedback on what you are looking for.

Here are a few pictures. The jeep is a little dirty...sorry.

Excellent design and outstanding quality.

For what its worth, RIPP has done an enormous amount of testing with various exhaust combination's. After having been completely let down by nearly all of them (which shall remain nameless) we found the MBRP to be the only one to produce usable HP from 1800rpm (6 rear wheel HP) up and a peak of 11rear wheel HP above 4000rpm. The MBRP exhaust is the only exhaust we endorse with our supercharger system.

Good luck

For RIPP aand MBRP,

I have read on another forum something similar to the above statement. Do you see the same HP increase with the muffler relocated as when the muffler was in the stock position? Has it even been tested. I have avoided doing any exhaust work because I didn't want to waste the bucks on something that doesn't provide a benefit.
