Max Wheel / Tire Size on rear gate

We all know how the TJs have a weight limit and begin to warp under the weight of a 33 inch tire.

Does anyone know if you can get away w/ a 33x12.50 on the back of the JK?

Cheers,

Adam

285/75/16 fits fine with the right backspacing it weights 10lbs more and doesn't hit the rubber stops (which makes me a little nervous) any input??

all in all tire mount seems pretty stout

Looking t my buddys, you could easily get a 33 on there. It is built alot better and has 8 (I think) bolt points. Even a 35 if you want to trim the bumper though it would weigh alot!

I was planning to cut back the rubber bumpers when I fitted my 285's. But, during a test fit discovered the rubber bumpers are pretty soft and squish down. So, I left 'em the way they were.
