Market Demand...

How much off/plus MSRP are you guys going to be willing to pay on the first Wranglers on the lot? Pricing a little bit and Ron Carter (#2 Jeep Sales) is allready taking orders. They just have to type them in once they are allowed in a few weeks. They are saying to expect these things on the lot sometime in August or early September.

Nehoo, throw up some ideas on what would be fair to pay on one of these bad boys. I play on ordering the following...

2-door Rubicon
Automatic
Navigation with Sirius
Midnight Blue w/ Black Soft Top

I dont think you can get the nav system in the early run jeeps?

Im using my discount, but i would think 500 over invoice would be a fair deal.

full more than likely... Not too sure if I would be happy with the halfs, although my doors will be off 95% of the time, haha.

Yes, this concerns me, too.

I want the same JK as you, but likely in the Sahara trim, so if you see another Steel Blue JK tooling around 610 in late August, wave to me!

Go here
http://www.jeep.com/07wrangler/

then click on specifications. An adobe form will open, then look under optional equipment. It will read something like Navigation system with full map display and sirus (late avalaility)

So I doubt it will be first run.

This doesn't mean anything other than Jeep marketing needs to get their act together, but the Unlimited specs don't show late availability for the Nav-Radio.

http://www.jeep.com/en/07wranglerunl...ifications.pdf

The formatting is messed up, but, under Available Equipment, I think it means to say:

6-Disc CD/DVD System with MP3 Capability
Driver's Seat Height Adjuster (packaged with cloth seating, not available with vinyl seat.)
Navigation System with Full Map Display
Electronic Sway Bar Disconnect (Standard on Rubicon. Late Availability.)
...

I'm going to say most folks will be paying MSRP...in the beginning. Once supply starts meeting demand then dealers will become more flexible on pricing. Of course there may be a few folks who have more money than brains that will pay over MSRP to be the first on the block. The only deals I see is if DC offers 0% or something like 2.9% loans. Some folks have already complained that due to the current 0% offer that dealers aren't budging on MSRP for 06s. I'm planning on waiting at least two years and hope they offer a V8.

Scratch the V8 nonsense and substitute a MB CRD 6- speed for me. Since I'm here in MI, I'm seriously thinking about going to Canada to pick up a diesel Wrangler in 08.

Considering that DC still has its thumb stuck up its butt wondering "Gee I wondering if there's a demand for a diesel Wrangler ? "

I'm convinced that this isn't the problem. The new (U.S.) gubment regulations on diesel make it cost prohibitive to do much. Take a look at VW or the Libby.

DCX clearly sees interest because they are pushing out the diesel GCs as soon as they possibly can. I expect to see a diesel Wrangler in the U.S. in MY 2008 or 2009.
