I have a 07 Rubicon with 44,000 miles on it. The malfunction indicator light turned on this morning. Is this something I should worry about? anyone else with this issue and how was it resolved?
Might want to take it in and see why its going off. I think there is a way for you to check it as well, prolly in the manual somewhere on how to bring up the code. Can also disconnect the battery for a few mins and see if it goes away on its own. Might be a good idea to check all the fluids to make sure you havent lost any.
Most common cause is a loose fuel cap. If loose, it sometimes interferes with the oxygen sensor. Make sure it's tight, then try disconnecting the battery to reset the system. Or, just take it in...most dealers will check and reset it at no charge.
